If you know us, you know we love going to Southold in the summer. One of the first places Valentina took Joey was Horton's Point Lighthouse where we watched the sunset with friends and family.

On a very rainy Saturday in June, we had plans to meet our friends at a restaurant in Greenport. Nothing out of the ordinary. Joey said we'll go for a drive first. When we arrived at Horton's Point,  Valentina refused to get out the car. After some convincing, she reluctantly walked down the 67 steps to the rocky beach. When Valentina finally made it to the beach, the skies cleared and the sun began to shine! Joey dropped to one knee and we haven't stopped smiling since. With the sound of the ocean behind us and the sand beneath our feet, Valentina said "yes" to forever.  It was simple, beautiful and perfectly us.
